Message from the Chairman
To nurture virtues within a human society, to extend our hands in true friendship beyond politics, religious bias, or racism, and to create a social, cultural, economic, and spiritual generation – the “Sivihela Api Wenuwen Api” Social Welfare Force unites retired war heroes, national heroes, and the younger generation to give birth to wise, peaceful, and positive-minded people who will strengthen the economy of our motherland.
You may have thousands of expectations, goals, and ambitions. In the past and present, although we have seen our country as a land of wonder through history, due to political struggles and the changes of time, today we remain only a part of a nation still developing. Even though you have made many efforts to win in life, you are still trying, aren’t you? Just think for a moment – if we act together as a team, we can create a great change.
Within our force, we are preparing to form an economic unit, through which we will introduce new programs to strengthen your economy. If you believe you cannot rise in life, it shows you are still living within your own negative thoughts. If so, you are nothing more than a stone statue fixed in one place.
Among the legendary figures in Sri Lanka, names like Siddhalepa Veda Mahattaya and Nawaloka Mudalali are well known. Aren’t they courageous people who won life through their own effort, starting with very little capital? Even someone who started small can win the world. A man who once sold bread on a bicycle is today a businessman owning vehicles – but he had a goal, an aim, and a plan.
If you are ready to change your life, we are ready to extend our hand to support you. Think for a moment – today, countless businesses exist to conquer the world. Even if you simply make a tasty snack from a few raw bananas, there is a market waiting for it. But if you lack a goal, it is inevitable that you will stop halfway.
By working together as a team in self-employment and production, we can build a trustworthy marketplace across multiple districts and even establish international connections.

Especially through the dedication of our beloved members, we will have the ability – via our economic unit – to reach both local and international markets. As the founder, chairman, and leadership team, we cannot build this alone. Your energy and dedication are absolutely necessary.
Therefore, if you truly have a goal, an aim, and a plan to change your life, only then step forward as a proud member of our force. We are ready to implement our plans. Moreover, today many people, due to poverty, cannot live their daily lives properly. They suffer with numerous educational and social problems. A government alone, without politics, cannot solve everything. Within this, we must work together.
To create a social, cultural, economic, and spiritual generation, we warmly invite compassionate hearts to join with us. Let us nurture a desire to live, and instead of waiting for fish to be caught, let us learn to taste the bitter leaf and survive. Together, we can move forward.
Let love and respect be shared among us. In the future, as a truly proud member of our community, you will become a valuable person to your village and to the nation. Let us act by being active, energetic, and practical members, setting aside traditional low-mindedness, thinking not only of ourselves but also of the future and of generations to come.

There are things about my motherland Sri Lanka that words and letters cannot fully describe.
In the ancient era, during the reign of our kings, there were heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect this land. Even today, we remember them. Those characters are recorded even in books and scripts, giving us not only opportunities to take them as role models but also as lessons and guidance.
Yet, in our recent history of three decades of war, countless heroes shed their blood, flesh, and bones upon this soil. Their sacrifices are deeply rooted in it. We lived in that era and witnessed those heroes whose names were carved into our history. But today, are their stories limited only to a bus stop, a roadside board, or perhaps forgotten altogether? If not in prison, are they not cornered and pushed to the lowest rung of society in their own villages?
Think for a moment.
A soldier is someone who, through discipline, leadership, respect, planning, execution, and sacrifice, saved the country. For such a person, leading a village or community is an easy task. Yet, are they even offered the simple chairmanship of a civil security committee in a village? Instead, is security entrusted to someone just because he is considered “educated” or known as the “village thug”? Think for a moment about the difference that makes. A village must have discipline.
At the same time, I must also speak of another group—“National Heroes.” Who are they?
The migrant workers. The elder brother, sister, aunt, or uncle who once left the country in search of work are today called “national heroes.” Yes, in truth, they are. That is a name born out of a politically bound social construct. But we must ask ourselves—does the country, which depends so heavily on the dollars they earn, truly do anything for them in return?
There are indeed countless institutions formed in their name. Yet, when a mother or father leaves their family behind to work abroad, it is with thousands of hopes. They work for years so that their children at home may have food, a proper education, and at the very least a roof over their heads. But who really ensured that shelter? Who truly stood by them? For them, our organization is ready to step forward.
Likewise, we must also talk about the youth.
The most dangerous trap in today’s society is drugs. How many young lives are now spending years in prisons because of it? Then there are countless others who, having completed their education, are still searching for jobs. The youth are the future of society. Even if you don’t wear a tie and coat with a job in the state or in a leading private institution, you are still the child of this nation.
We are ready to encourage you, to uplift you, to guide you so that you may build a strong economic life, overcome challenges, and achieve victory. We are ready to stand with you.
In general, whether it is state or private institutions, many exist—but there must be genuine planning to do something meaningful. Though government officials may be present in villages, do the people truly receive any benefit from them?
Let us think together.
